I was raised on a farm near Iberia, and remember the walk to country school with my older siblings. The area is full of history, and I draw from this when I paint. My paintings are varied. Some are nature-inspired, some carefree and fun to thought provoking and serious.

I have been published in Folio, American University, Art Business News, and New Art International. I have exhibited in many group shows throughout the country, completed several commissions. That work is in private collections.

I appreciate history and architecture, and have donated work to worthy causes.

Artist Statement

I make art because something inside me forces me to. It signifies for me, complete and total freedom. My style is expressionism and usually abstract. But not always.

I paint on canvas, linen is my favorite. Sometimes I incorporate recycled plastic, or old slides in my work. I use copper metal and foil, composition gold and silver leaf. Bold rich color, soft hues and interference paints find their way into the art I create.

History is important to me , and inspiration is everywhere. By painting I express my complete gratitude, love and admiration to all those who were here before me.
